These expressive paintings are digitally rendered images output to high-quality, textured, archival watercolour paper.
Each digitally created brushstroke is a layer of colour contained within the computer software. I then arrange and manipulate layers until I decide upon the final dynamic composition. Highly saturated and materially seductive when printed, the artwork then alludes to the full-scale human gesture. The intentional play between the digital space of production to the physical space of presentation are a rumination upon the possibility of our tools - pushing the idea of painting into a new technological realm.
